JUDITH MACFARLANE
Judith Macfarlane holds a Juris Doctor degree from Yeshiva University, Cardozo School of Law (’99) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University (’96). She was admitted to the New York Bar in 2000, and passed the Article 100 French bar qualification exam in 2009.
Judith began her prior career as a lawyer working as a legislative attorney for the New York City Council, focusing principally on public health issues. She moved to France in 2004 and worked as a corporate associate in the Paris office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP during eight years. She then joined Pernod Ricard’s legal department as a senior counsel, where she stayed for two years.
Judith has significant experience translating various legal and corporate documents. Her clients include French and international law firms and corporate entities.
While a native English speaker, Judith was raised in a French-speaking household in the United States. She translates documents from French to English.
